    LEICESTERSHIRE Places to see        

 Leicestershire has many ancient remains

 and is a rich grazing land, with a     

 cattle market over seven centuries old 

 at Market Harborough.  A branch of the 

 Grand Union Canal flows through the    

 county and at Foxton (with its Saxon   

 cross) there is a series of 10 locks.  

 Iron Age earthworks are to be found at 

 Billesdon, Breedon on the Hill (which  

 also has a seventeenth century conical 

 stone lockup.                          

 The Village of Hallaton has a number of

 traditions on Easter Mondays, eating a
